Leave the Butts Brow car park, heading north, through a wooden kissing gate near the car park entrance. Walk along the brow of the ridge, heading towards a prominent patch of scrubby bushes. You can pass to either the left or right of these bushes ' the left is marginally shorter, but the right provides better views.
