I wouldn't claim anything conclusive about S90V without actual data, but the S110V data does suggest that toughness-wise, it should be in the ballpark of 20CV. Can be a bit difficult to sharpen. Loses razor edge quickly but keeps a working edge for a while. Cruwear is my favorite pm2 at the moment. Gets sharp a bit easier. WebSep 28, 2024 · Hardness. Z-max=Maxamet. You’ve got the right idea. Z-wear = CPM Cru-wear. PD#1 ≈ CPM Cru-wear. Z-max has less C, Cr, Co, W, and V than Maxamet. Z-max also has 5% Mo while Maxamet has none. They’ll be similar, but Maxamet may edge Z-Max out in the raw wear resistance category.
