WebJul 12, 2011 · A Truetrac has a hardened case and it is much more difficult to drill than a Detroit Locker. A good machinist will have the proper tools. FWIW- Jeep JKs use 2 differnt sized ring gear bolts. Most 2007s had 7/16" and everything never has 1/2". All other 44s use 3/8" bolts. Truetracs are dual drilled for 3/8" and 7/16". The limited slip in the rear has excellent street manners, and will lend longevity to the life expectancy of your d35, and is helpful off road.
