If games are installed on the HDD, that would be a big part of the cause. Other than that, disable CPPC, CPPC preferred cores, AMD Cool N Quiet, and Global C-State Control in BIOS. CPPC is broken and causes performance issues, and the latter two are both power saving features.
WebDec 6, 2024 · TL;DR - disabling CPPC Preferred Cores in BIOS gave me a 20FPS boost in Overwatch. Overclocking my RAM from 2133MHz with 1066Mhz Infinity Fabric (stock setting) to 3600Hz with 1800MHz Infinity Fabric gave me ~60FPS boost. Overclocking further to 3733MHz with 1867Mhz Infinity Fabric gave me an additional 10FPS boost.
