WebOur reservations for the Black Sand Beach were for the late afternoon time slot so we did the "traditional" route for the RTH. We started at 6:30am and hit most of the popular spots along the way. We went all the way to the 7 pools then backtracked to arrive at the Black Sand Beach (Waianapanapa State Park) at around 4pm.
